Keith Montgomery grew up in Scotland and graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, with Honors, in Regional and Systematic Geography. He left Scotland for the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, where he received his Ph.D. in glacial geomorphology.
He joined the UW Colleges at UW-Marathon County in 1991, where he became at professor in the Department of Geography-Geology and was appointed Campus Dean and CEO in June 2011.
As Regional Executive Office and Dean for UW Colleges North Region since January 2016, he has responsibility for UW-Marinette, UW-Marathon County (Wausau), UW-Marshfield/Wood County, and UW-Barron County (Rice Lake).
He lives in Wausau.
