When my kids were young, I got involved with the local Extension office in what was Extension Homemakers. I learned about 4-H from my numerous visits to the office. I became a 4-H volunteer and taught many different project areas. I loved it and that experience helped me decide to go back to college to get my degree. I became the 4-H youth development educator in the county. I have been a 4-H Educator in three states as well as a college administrator for ten years. As an adult, 4-H helped me develop my skills and encourage me to continue to grow and now I give back to the program as an Educator in Wisconsin.
